👷 Assign Workers to a Job

In this guide, we'll walk you through how to assign workers to a job, step by step.

Getting ready for an upcoming job? With 9ID, you can easily assign workers to specific jobs and keep track of who's scheduled to work on site.

Whether you're assigning workers who are already part of your company or inviting someone new, this guide walks you through the process step by step.

Before you start: Get your workers ready in advance

Did you know? You don't need to wait until a job has been created to start onboarding your workers!

You can already add workers to your company and help them complete their onboarding tasks, such as uploading mandatory documents, providing social security registrations, or completing online training.

Once a job has been created, you can easily assign these workers to it.

Depending on the site's setup and the specific job, additional requirements may apply before workers are allowed on site.

Our tip: Start onboarding your workers as early as possible, even if their job hasn't been planned yet. This gives everyone enough time to complete the necessary requirements and helps avoid last-minute delays at the gate.

1. Find and open your job

Let's start by finding the job you want to assign workers to.

  1. Navigate to Jobs in the left-hand menu.

  2. You'll see an overview of the jobs available to your company.

  3. Find the relevant job and click on it to open its details.

  4. Check the job name and planned dates to make sure you've selected the correct one.

  5. Select the Workers tab.

Here, you'll find an overview of the workers currently assigned to the job, including their roles and status.

2. Assign an existing worker

Already added your workers to your company? Great! You can now assign them directly to a job.

  1. Click + Add worker in the top-right corner of the Workers section.

  2. A window will open showing the workers already registered within your company.

  3. Use the search bar to find a worker by name or email address.

  4. Click on the worker you want to assign.

That's it! The worker is now assigned to your job.

A green check mark will appear next to their name, and you'll see a Worker assigned confirmation message.

You can repeat these steps to assign additional workers.

Good to know: Workers who already have a green check mark are already assigned to this job. The check mark confirms their assignment, but not necessarily their readiness to access the site.

3. Invite a new worker

Can't find the worker you're looking for? No problem! You can also invite a new worker directly from the job.

  1. In the Workers tab, click + Add worker.

  2. At the bottom of the worker selection window, click + Invite new worker.

  3. Enter the worker's first name, last name, and email address.

  4. Double-check the information and click Add worker.

  5. Check the confirmation and return to the Workers list to verify that the worker has been added.

Our tip: Make sure you enter the correct email address so your worker receives their invitation and can start completing their onboarding tasks.

Remember, you can also add and onboard workers directly through the company's Workers section, without having to assign them to a job immediately.

You're all set!

Before their first day on site, make sure that:
